		<description>ya i&#039;m pretty sure the golden tips are a scam. i think a lot of companies (and even electronics stores) make a lot of profit off of the margins on accessories like this. what usually happens is microsoft or sony decides to charge you $40 for a component cable, but they have it made in China for $3. Well, why not just buy the Chinese made ones directly for $5?

It&#039;s a pretty easy sell also. In this day and age where everyone wants a nice HDTV with a great sound system, a store associate can easily talk you into buying the more expensive cables just so you don&#039;t &quot;ruin your investment&quot;. don&#039;t listen to them!</description>
