i have a spare 48 hour gold card or two so we can at least try. just let me know when you have time. the thing about the connection speed is it can be good or bad depending on the host. my brother and i play and when i used to host up in ny, we'd get either 4 or 5 (out of 5) bars for connection speed and it was quite playable. when i play online, i set my matchmaking preferences to best connection and almost always the game is quite playable.

if anything, i think sf4 is the least laggy online fighting game i've played.

might need a sturdier stick for mvc2. that game abuses controls almost as badly as mario party 1.

is the lag bearable though? my live account expired, so i haven't played online yet, but i was waiting for the right game to reactivate it with. even with 100ms ping that's like a 6 frame delay. your brother might know better since i think he was into virtua fighter? (which would make him more sensitive to the timing)

cool glad you got into it. online is really rough nowadays since only the hardcore players are still left, but if you need a sparring partner on the 360 just let me know!

that joystick will also come in handy for marvel vs capcom 2 this summer too!

decided to get a standard edition fight stick and some sanwa parts to mod it.
with shipping and everything was about $130.

hopefully will be up to speed by late next week. the 360 pad isn't as bad as i thought- i don't have accidental jumps like most people. the only thing i really have trouble with is doing supers on command. for some reason they are registering as dp's.

fun game. still prefer cvs2 though.

Nice review. FYI, I think the animations come from a full 65 minute animated film! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_Fighter_IV:_The_Ties_That_Bind
I think I'd rather see that than Chun Li: THE MOVIE
