True to the name of this blog, I have in fact leveled down. A lot of stuff has changed in my life as of late, with regards to relocating, having a new job, commute, preparing for a family, etc. and it’s certainly changed my gaming lifestyle. My new job certainly has a lot more work, my personal responsibilities have increased, and with an increased commute time every day and night, that leaves the two hours or so I have to myself each night with very little time to play anything seriously. Some nights I’m just so fried I decide not to play anything at all.
As a result of this, the blog is going to change going forward. Up until now, cmfl3x and I have tried to post lengthy content every day, but with him getting married this month and me winding down (and it looks like he may be winding down too), we have agreed upon a new style for the site: we’re going to do away with indepth impressions and reviews, but rather, adopt a short blog entry format where he and I will alternate post dates to talk about whatever gaming is on our mind. The idea is to move the site back towards a blog and away from the review repository that it has become. We’ll still post impressions and recommendations on games within our blog entries, but everything is just going to be a lot more personalized. It’ll just be our thoughts on games we’re playing, what we want to play, gaming news, etc. It’ll be sort of like our weekly gaming thoughts, but now on a daily basis and a lot more free in terms of what we write about.
Thanks for supporting us all these months…and hopefully you continue to check back as we hardcore gamers continue to age and become casual gamers (who then may eventually end up raising kids who become hardcore gamers themselves…haha)
