On my trip to the Pacific Northwest this past summer, I happened to be browsing the video game (book) section of the store when I came upon the book Extra Lives by Tom Bissell. The cover flap said the book is “an impassioned defense of this assailed and misunderstood art form”. With a description like that, I had to buy it. By now I’ve actually READ most of the book and think it’s an interesting read, especially for serious gamers. Hit the jump to find out why.
