My first experience with games was on the Commodore 64, when I remember playing text adventures and letting my imagination run wild. At the age of five I was typing “open door” and totally nervous about what I would find on the other side. Since then, games have actually started to have graphics, but my love for games still stems from the same source: I love good storytelling and losing myself in another world.
I’ve been a Nintendo Fan since the beginning, and have owned every single Nintendo console. I have now branched out into Xbox 360 world, where I spend almost all of my gaming time these days (the DS, not the Wii, comes in 2nd). I also just picked up a PS3 recently so we’ll see how that affects my habits. I’ve loved first person shooters ever since the original Doom, but never made the switch to mouse and keyboard and ended up picking up the genre again with Halo. In general I play alone, but when it comes to huge multiplayer games like Modern Warfare, I love to party up.
Like espion4ge, I too am recently married, and am slowly in the process of “leveling down” my game playing (although my wife is shocked that the amount I play right now is a decrease). I love to write, and I love to get pumped up about games and to share that excitement with others, which is why I’m here at this site. Hopefully, you enjoy what I have to say!
