I'm interested to see what people think of the NGP and whether you plan to buy it. I'm really hoping for some PS3 / NGP integration, including online play between the two platforms. Also I think it would be great to see developers make games that can run on either console so you can take your save-game back and forth with you. I heard they are starting "cloud-based" game saves for Playstation Plus members, so that might be the first step in having a portable PSN account that recognizes you when you sign in from the PS3 or the NGP. It would be great to continue your games from wherever you are.
Looking forward to seeing what happens. This system is pretty-much a must buy for me.
The NGP looks pretty sexy and I'd gladly take one if someone gave me one for free haha. Only issues I currently have with it are that it looks to be plagued by a 3-5 hour battery life similar to the 3DS. Also, analysts are speculating a $400 price tag…and that's just a little too expensive for me…
The NGP has had me re-evaluate my thoughts about which portable to pick up first (hopefully my wife allows me to get both). I personally feel like the 3D aspect of the 3DS is kind of stupid, and feel that the NGP is a sleeker, sexier, and more hardcore gamer friendly type of device – 2 analog sticks and PS3 style graphics on the go? I'd much rather have that than the seizure inducing 3D aspect of the 3DS from a hardware standpoint. But, I tend to like the Nintendo library more than Sony's offerings. And in the end, it does come down to the games right? So…I guess we'll see what happens. Should be a very interesting portable console war between these two.
